How often do we gaze in disgust while politicians become the focal point of scandal after scandal? Entrenched interests, at all levels of government, have brought the country, state and municipal governments to the verge of bankruptcy and moral decadence. When will we say that enough is enough?

As business owner, I realize that my employees must remain challenged in order to grow as individuals and excel in their positions. Often, we strive to encourage our employees, friends and coworkers to better themselves through educational opportunities and civic involvement. Should we expect nothing less of our elected officials?

I believe that those unchallenged become complacent in their position, and complacency begets neglect. That is why I promote term limits for municipal officials. We need fresh ideas and a proactive government which will tackle problems before they boil over into crisis. Currently, a four term (8 yr) limit exists in many of our neighboring communities. I wish to bring the same limitations on government officials to Missouri City.
